Even though we're the largest diners' club in the UK, we certainly haven't rested on our laurels. We are continually planning and developing our digital strategy and we are targeting discerning, connected, tech-savvy customers with our app which includes a digital tastecard (which was recently nominated as the UK's best money saving App at the UK 'Appy' Awards, and featured on the BBC's Click programme).
Through our digital marketing platforms, we will spread the word that your restaurant has become part of the tastecard discount scheme! tastecard has a huge, in-house, email marketing database of over 2 million UK members who are total foodies and is complemented by a large social media network; we have over 160,000 likes on our Facebook page and over 14,000 Followers on Twitter!
All that we ask is that you offer tastecard members one of our two offers. 2 for 1 is for 2 diners per card, and offers a discount of buy one get one complimentary on starters, main courses and desserts. Side dishes are not included in the offer.
The other offer is 50% off the total food bill, and is recommended as a group discount. Diners would receive a clean 50% off any food ordered on the a la carte menu. With both offers, drinks are not included in the offer, meaning that you will receive full mark up on wet sales.
Customise your tastecard offer to suit your restaurant
You can exclude Friday and Saturday evenings. The discount is on the a la carte menu only, so any time that this is not served would be excluded. For example, if you only serve a 'set lunch menu' over the lunch period, this time would be excluded from the offer.
You can also exclude Bank Holidays and Celebration Days. These include, but are not limited to Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday, Father's Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
