Yumchaa - Tottenham Street image

2 for 1 at Yumchaa - Tottenham Street

Yumchaa is located on Tottenham Street and offers a variety of loose teas and a choice of freshly made cakes, sandwiches and salads.

yum cha simply means 'drink tea' in Cantonese and the venue is beautifully relaxed and intimate, whilst offering an elegant dining and drinking experience.

Tea is a time honoured tradition and Yumchaa owners, Trinh Huang and her partner, Sean believe a good cuppa and a bite to eat is one that affords you a little 'me' time.

Yumchaa serve a wide variety of freshly prepared, fabulous sandwiches, as well as cakes and muffins, to enjoy alongside their magnificent choice of drinks.

The staff are friendly and keen to help. They offer samples of the teas, to help you to choose from their huge selection. The decor is homely and peaceful; perfect for any time of day.

Yumchaa is an oasis of calm and a hidden gem. With such a friendly, personalised and welcoming environment, visitors won’t find a better place to unwind.

Cracking little tea shop. I can't say I've tried their other drinks but their varieties of tea are both unusual (some traditional ones for the less adventurous are available) and delicious.

The staff are delightful and knowledgeable, the food is excellent. You should definitely pop in for a slice of cake (you'll probably want another) and a pot of tea. "

  • "Yumchaa is a great little teahouse-come-sandwich-bar near Goodge Street tube station. The interior is suitably hip and edgy, with comfy sofas and a lovely skylight built into the ceiling letting the sunshine in. They have a variety of sandwiches and cakes, all of which were fresh whenever I've visited. My hummus-grilled-veg bagel was nice, although not a revelation, the lemon drizzle cake an absolute delight. I hear the banana-nutella-bread is delicious, so will try this next time. Without the tastecard deal, it's fairly pricey and you can easily end up paying over £10 for a sandwich, cake and drink - but with the tastecard, I'll be heading there more often! It's a good space for a quick lunch and meeting up with friends or going with colleagues, so check it out! Also, it's perfect for tea lovers, they have a huge selection. Shame drinks aren't included in the tastecard deal :-) Marie "
