Once a remote country, Nepal is now open to many visitors. As a consequence the unique Nepalese cuisine is fast becoming one of the world's favourites. Reflecting the vast diversity of its environment, history and neighbouring cultures, Nepalese cuisine takes the best of high altitude cooking from its Tibetan border, with the lush sub-tropical cuisine of India. The result is an exciting range of flavours highlighted by the Yak and Yeti's very own Nepalese chef. Yaks (large Himalayan-dwelling animals closely related to cattle or bison) are known for their strength and endurance as they endure freezing temperatures and high altitudes. The Yeti, or Abominable Snowman, a myth to many, is a reality to a few explorers and hardy Sherpa’s. And so it is these qualities that reflect themselves in the cuisine of Yak and Yeti - a powerful, enduring, unforgettable taste that has to be 'seen' to be believed! We hope you enjoy your culinary adventure at the Yak and Yeti Nepalese and Indian Restaurant.

"The food was excellent! It was cooked with skill and care resulting in authentic Indian food. This is the first review I have written, simply because of the quality of the food I received. Being Asian myself, I am sick of the masquerade that is the usual "Indian" restaurant, where the food is cooked without care, attention resulting in unauthentic nonsense and is purely to peddle to people for financial reasons. This restaurant cooked authentic food with care, the tikka paneer and veg samosa were brilliant, and the fact that it was home-made and the samosa was not bought from the wholesalers and cooked from frozen was evident in the taste. The mains were good and wholesome; I had the chicken hariyali which is a nepalese dish, which they do fantastically well. The service was very good, staff were attentive and pleasant. I 100% endorse this restaurant and this will become my local curry house from now on! Krish "
