I went for a meal here yesterday having found it through tastecard. The food I ordered was amazing and the best pilau rice that I have ever eaten. I asked for and was recommended a Nepalese dish and I was not disappointed it tasted fabulous.

The flavours of the food are very subtle and multi-dimensional. I was also impressed by how fresh the food appeared and not oily!

We had to wait a while for the food but I think that it is cooked to order and the food was most definitely worth the wait.

The decor was clean and bright and the service good. "

Once you go here the other local Indian restaurants won’t be a patch on this place. Now I know they have joined tastecard, once a week it is. "

" FINEST NORTH INDIAN CUISINE OUTSIDE OF LONDON”

I found this place on a tastecard search and despite it being some distance decided to give it a go, glad I did too.

I live just south of Leicester, a city with a huge indian/Pakistani population and many so called indian restaurants, sadly most do not deserve a second visit, or even a first visit !

There is surprisingly little Nepalese food on the menu but a lot of your favourites that are found everywhere, so I was slightly disappointed at first, but there is plenty to chose from. We had a large dish of mixed kebabs to share as a starter, chicken, lamb, salmon, prawn, plus paneer tikka for the vegetarians, absolutely top notch. Mains, lamb shanks on the bone, chicken biryani, aloo ghobi, paneer tikka masala. All the dishes were superb with authentic north Indian flavours, with the obvious exception of the masala dish which was invented in the UK. This masala was pale pinkish in colour and tasted of coconut and sugary cream, not my cup of tea but it is very popular.

We also had 2 types of naans and rice, all superb. We were so full we had to have a doggy bag; obviously we never bothered with desserts.

The place is very clean and pleasant; fit to take ladies, nice toilets. Thoroughly recommended, will definitely visit again soon. "
