A group of 12 of us have been going to the Yega Bar for the last 4 months for a lunch once a month. We have had great service and the food has been brilliant, always hot and well presented. We have had no complaints whatsoever and I am glad I did not read the previous reviews!!!

We call them one of St Paul's secrets. Excellent value with our tastecard too!! "

Unfortunately, I missed the reviews and went with my partner one evening whilst wandering around New Change.

The service was appalling, the table dirty and the food was of a very poor 'pub' standard. We shared the Yager Platter and found that we left most of it.

The drinks price exceeded the cost of the food. The decor is cheap, tacky and was a very disappointing experience. I would not go back, even for a drink!

    Do not go here! "

Went here with a friend for lunch.

There wasn't much to choose from on the menu as it was mainly sharing platters. We both had a beef burger which was nice but not the best and the chips were cold and soggy. It was presented well.

I think it was very over priced for what it was. I wouldn't choose to go back unless I had a tastecard as it's not worth the full price. £9 for a salad.

The staff were friendly and there was absolutely no problem using the tastecard at all. "

I booked Yager for lunch, as it seemed like a good central location and we could sit outside and take advantage of the nice weather. We ordered a sharing platter, The Yager, which boasted "The ultimate sharing platter. Selection of mini burgers, mini pies, BBQ chicken wings, calamari rings, melted mozzarella sticks, honey & mustard cocktail sausages, breaded mushrooms and skinny fries with pita bread and dips"

The mini burgers weren't bad at all to be fair, but the pies had been microwaved so the pastry was soggy, the chicken wings were so over cooked, the bones disintegrated, the calamari rings were like elastic bands, the mozzarella sticks were edible but tasteless, the sausages were vile, the chips were nice and the dips were uninspiring. So, "delicious meals made using the finest ingredients available" it was not. Overpriced even with the discount.

The staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was OK, but there was absolutely no problem using the tastecard at all.

    I'd give it a miss. "
