Set amid the fine architecture of Birmingham's New Street, Macdonald Burlington Hotel offers guests an oasis of luxury and tranquillity in a vibrant, culture-rich city. Fed by an underwater spring, the historic Burlington is a short walk from world-class shopping, heritage and entertainment.
At the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, they pride themselves on first-class catering and service in The Scottish Steak Club, their onsite restaurant. The chefs here work from whole raw ingredients using only the finest and freshest produce. The beauty of the dish is in the greatness of the ingredients with a focus on simplicity.
True to their Scottish heritage, the beef and lamb they serve comes from fully accredited Scottish Farms and supplied to them by Scotbeef, suppliers to the highest quality retailers in the country. The beef is then traditionally aged for a minimum of 21 days and hand cut by highly skilled butchers using time honoured techniques.
The chickens they source are free range, ensuring they have been reared with care. Being free to roam around leads to a greater quality and texture of meat.
Their fish is cured by John Ross Jr (Aberdeen) and smoked in truly traditional 150 year old red-brick kilns, awarded “Gold by the Guild of Fine Foods”. They use the finest wild white fish, caught from sustainable sources around the UK and delivered fresh every day to their hotel.
Each of their wines has been specially selected by Master of Wine Beverly Tabbron and represents the very best examples of their style. Many of the wines and producers on their list have received international acclaim and a multitude of awards in recent years.
Join them at The Scottish Steak Club and they are confident you will find something that exceeds your expectations.
