Named after the second longest river in Europe which runs through four Central and Eastern European capitals, The Danube Restaurant serves home-cooked food from Central and Eastern Europe.
At Danube, local produce is used as much as possible and you can expect to see everything from locally grown vegetables to locally reared meat included in many of the dishes. Some of the dishes that you can exect to find on the menu range from starters of Gravadlax - Salmon fillets cold-cured with salt, sugar, pepper, dill and served with mustard sauce to mains such as a hearty Goulash cooked with succulent beef, onions, paprika, caraway seeds, Nottinghamshire potatoes and green peppers served with caraway flavoured dumplings. Don’t forget to leave room for one of Danubes tempting desserts which include Lemon and polenta cake served with lemon liqueur sauce and A creamy and luxurious chocolate marquise containing layers of chocolate and mint crème.
You can also choose a drink from the interesting and reasonably priced drinks menu to perfectly complement your meal.
