Our bill was reduced by the cost of 2 main courses only, rather than 50% of the food bill. Not quite what I was expecting from using Tastecard. So we saved about £13. "

" Bad restaurant – went there last Wednesday 4th July with my family as I want to explore the area for decent Indian restaurant as whilst there isn’t a lack of them, the area seriously needs an injection of quality curry houses.

We were in early about 7pm and were one of the first customers. Those that have been might immediately notice an unwelcoming smell and being from an Indian background it was definitely not the smell that food leaves. Fortunately the smell whilst off-putting wasn’t overpowering enough to leave. Moving swiftly on, I read plenty of reviews bemoaning the delays in delivery time etc but even at the restaurant it seemed an age before the starters came. However, what convinced me to go to this place was that the reviews in general about the food were very positive.

We were left dumbfounded as to why it got good feedback on the quality of food but then again being an Indian food connoisseur and having been to a great number of different Indian restaurants I can fairly say this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.

The starters took over 45 minutes to arrive, the seekh kebabs crumbled and don’t mistake that for being tender it was a clear sign of poor quality meat, 1 piece of the chicken tikka was undercooked and made a raw crunch as I bit into it, the lamb tikka was chewing but you’ll get chewing lamb in some of the best places. The vegetarians weren’t too impressed with their starters either although I did not ask them for the finer details

The mains surprisingly came out a lot quicker compared to the starters but that might have been because we ordered everything at the same time. Was the main meal any good….. I hate being mean but we ordered the Butter Chicken and a Jalfrezi (asked for the Jalfrezi to be extra hot) the butter chicken was in fact a chicken korma, they didn’t really know how to make a proper butter chicken and the Jalfrezi was anything but spicy. Whilst the food didn’t taste that bad it was overly bland and both dishes didn’t really taste like a typical butter chicken and Jalfrezi should. Whilst the food wasn’t at all to our liking we had to order more as there portions were small (yes we ordered more knowing we that the food would not taste great but being hungry and all we had kind had to have something in a stomach’s to digest.) the vegetarians complained of the same bland taste and that was completely surprising coming from my sister as she can’t take any spice in her food.

Clearly the best thing on their menu and the only thing I think was worth ordering was the cobra. Even if I was paid a large amount wouldn’t go back to that place as nothing about it impressed us. 3/10 and the 3 is only because we didn’t get food poisoning. It might take a while for me to find the best curry house in the Kingston borough. "

We booked this restaurant mid-week after doing a search on the iPhone app and were glad we did.

The selection of dishes on the menu was great and the food itself tasted so good. Very often I've been to Indian restaurants where all dishes look and taste very similar but all the dishes we ordered (there were a few) all tasted so good.

The restaurant wasn't busy as it was midweek but it still had a great atmosphere with the few parties that were there. The staff were also great and we will definitely be going back here again and again. "

I've been there for quite few times with my friends. Food was lovely as always. Well trained staff and friendly enough.

I would recommend this restaurant to people who loves actual taste of Indian food and good atmosphere to enjoy their evening. "
