This place is buzzing in the evenings and I had expected a bit of atmosphere at lunch but this didn't materialise. Having said that, the customer service was great but was let down by the food, which was very limited and quite poor really.

Ordered the sharing platter and expected butter chicken to be melt in the mouth, but it was over fried on the outside; in fact everything on the platter seemed to be a bit fried within an inch of its life and/or stodgy. Calamaris, which were ordered separately, were totally overdone and heavy too.

So food was disappointing but service was prompt and with a smile. "

" The menu listed on the tastecard website isn't actually the one they offer. It isn't on their website but when I rang to book I checked that they offered the full list and they said they did but when we got there, there were only a few burgers and nachos on offer.

We had a table reserved but had to order at the bar. The place was packed in the post-work rush and there were only two women rushed off their feet. It took at least twenty five minutes to get served and I don't really blame the staff for being pretty unfriendly.

The food took quite a while and when we saw a women emerge from the kitchen with it she wandered around the whole bar looking for us, ignoring our calls when she walked past. When the food eventually got to us it was almost cold and mediocre. We were given no cutlery, napkins or condiments even after asking.

The bar itself was loud, unpleasant and trying so hard to be cool. The one good thing about it was the happy hour on every evening. However, at £7 for a bottle of beer normally, I can't think why anyone would come here otherwise.

I'm glad at least using the tastecard was easy because if I had paid full price I would have been very disappointed. "
