The Castle Dairy Restaurant and Art Gallery is Kendal's oldest newest restaurant. Staffed by Kendal College apprentices and watched over by chef Robert Stacey, the restaurant provides a unique experience in Kendal for anyone who is passionate about fine dining.
The a la carte menu, features starters of poached smoked haddock wild garlic and haddock brandade, crispy quail eggs, and Lakeland pancetta or Cauliflower risotto with a spiced golden sultana and pine nut vinaigrette. The mains on offer include Pan seared wood pigeon Liver parfait, cumin spiced fregola, roasted carrot puree, wilted chard, pigeon jus, or Tastings of rare breed pork with celeriac purée, apple gratin, oat crumble and watercress all of which are accompanied by a well-priced & interesting wine list.
