Stumbled on this gem of a village pub that borders on fine dining. Quality food, great service, super location. Now regular clients and when the only issue is the car park is full, that's a good thing. "

We had a really good experience on all levels; very good food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere with good music at the right volume, good venue.
A little bit noisy with people talking loud, but expected in a restaurant!
On a side note, the food was a little bit on the salty side, but only because we never add any. "

We have been eating at the Bells for a good while now, lunchtime or dinner it's always top notch.

It's a lovely venue (especially since the completion of the conservatory.) with friendly, accommodating staff and I can honestly say that we've never had a bad meal there!

Give the place a try, it will not disappoint... (",) "

" Lovely venue but despite the restaurant being empty there was one table of 4 rather loud women, we were nonetheless invited to take a tiny table so close to their table, we were almost sitting with them. When we demurred, we were placed on a table right by the toilet. The restaurant remained fairly empty for the rest of the evening so goodness knows what was going on there.

Food was distinctly average, scallop starter was OK but overcooked and the pork belly starter was a little disappointing. My calves’ liver (noted as served pink on the menu) was overcooked and tough and the gravy merely tasted of Bisto. The lamb burger however was excellent as was the house salad.

Apart from the seating issue, the service was fine but I'm afraid we won't be going back. "
