Opened in 1974, Il Camino is a family run Italian restaurant situated in Surrey, with a passion for serving customers delicious food in a relaxed but attentive environment.

The interior decor is intimate and sophisticated and can be equally enjoyed during the cold winter months as on a warm summer’s day. Fully air conditioned, Il Camino has sliding doors that open up the front of the restaurant on warm days.

The head chef has created an extensive menu serving both traditional Italian and English food. Guests are also able to choose from the immensely popular fish trolley serving freshly caught seafood and fresh fish and when in season, the chef serves game dishes including pheasant and grouse.

Please Note: The tastecard discount is not available on Bank Holidays, Celebration Days including Valentine’s Day, Mothering Sunday, Father’s Day etc. or during the month of December.

"

    We have tried the Tuna, Monkfish, Plaice, steaks and the lamb and they have all been superb.

    Two gripes, when the prices are not exactly cheap the £1 cover charge per person seems measly and there is only one beer available, Peroni. (At least it's a good one but variety is the spice of life!) "

    When it came to pay I questioned the cover charge of £2.00, on the bill, I was told that this was to cover the two pieces of bread, that we did not ask for, and the table cloth and napkins. Now, in my 32 years of eating out I have never come across this charge, the owner was completely obnoxious and kept repeating that he has been charging people this for years. They also included the tip in the bill which I don't think is right, it is down to the customer to decide if and how much they want to tip.
    On the plus side I am glad I used the tastecard as I would have been even more unhappy if I had to pay full price. Waiters were attentive and polite. I will not be stepping into this restaurant again! "
