The idea for Gourmet Burger Kitchen originated in New Zealand. Where once the traditional burger was seen purely as a fast food option, gourmet burgers have knocked tradition on the head. Gourmet Burger Kitchen has created a nutritious, sophisticated product using the best and freshest ingredients available.

WHAT MAKES GBK BURGERS DIFFERENT?

The Gourmet Burger Kitchen menu has been consulted on by leading New Zealand and London based chef Peter Gordon. His involvement has been key in creating the menu.

"I love the concept of taking something simple like a burger and expanding its potential - giving it a distinct, cutting edge flavour" - Peter Gordon

The menu offers over 20 burgers from classic flavour combinations in beef and chicken such as Cheese, Avocado Bacon and Satay to exciting new burger combinations such as Kiwiburger, The Taxidriver and a Wild Boar & Smoked bacon burger.  If meat’s off your menu, no worries, there are some tasty veggie options. The specially developed homemade GBK sauces and relishes help to define each burger.

Not just any ingredients will do, Gourmet Burger Kitchen uses only the best ingredients available to create each burger. The oversized sourdough buns are baked each morning by their artisan baker. Our 100% West Country beef is always freshly delivered. We only use British chicken and free range eggs. Our homemade dipping sauces are made from scratch every day in each of our kitchens.

A PLACE TO EAT AND RELAX

The GBK premises reflect the simplicity of the operation. The décor is clean, crisp and fresh. The kitchen is clearly visible - watch while you wait, see what you eat, enjoy the creation.

Please note: The 2 for 1 offer applies to all courses ordered; starters (‘while you waits’), main courses and desserts. Side orders such as fries, onion rings, corn and homeslaw are NOT included in the tastecard offer. Due to huge demand, unfortunately GBK is unable to accept the cards ALL DAY on Fridays and Saturdays. The offer excludes Bank Holidays. The offer applies to eating-in only and cannot be used on takeaway food.

"Always great service and no problem using my tastecard! Burgers are huge and very tasty. Best to share a bowl of chips as a burger with chips is just too much.  Great old fashioned way of serving milkshakes also, which means you get extra! LO "

"The most delicious irresistible chips! I had the chicken satay which was certainly different, one of quite a variety on offer. It was very busy and crowded, packed with buggies on a Thursday lunchtime. Although it is waiter service, you order at the counter from a board on the wall. Maybe because it was noisy and busy, they didn't seem to be able to provide a vegetarian child with a simple cheese burger. He didn't like the rather dry lentil burger- but was more than happy with the chips and ketchup from a tomato-shaped dispenser!  Jean   "
