My husband and I went for lunch here this week. It is a lovely traditional cafe, privately owned in the centre of Lancaster and very popular with the locals which is always a good sign.

It was easy to use the tastecard, although on this occasion we didn't use it as the dishes we wanted were not on the list for using the tastecard. This was not a problem as the prices were very reasonable. My husband had the all day breakfast at £5.45 which he said was the best he had tasted and I had the home made cheese and onion pie with mushy peas and beetroot at £5.95 which was delicious and a good portion.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The cafe also makes meat and potato, steak and kidney and cheese and onion pies to order to take out and we intend to do this next time we go.
We will definitely go again with or without the tastecard. "
