The food is tasteless, unremarkable and completely unimaginative. Staff clearly don't want to be there. None of the other diners looked remotely impressed.
Particularly grating was the lack of information. Ordered a salad which came with many of the ingredients missing. No one told us. Also ordered a dish featuring pine nuts. On both these dishes, pine nuts were replaced with peanuts! A peanut pizza! That is particularly troubling, since pine nuts are an expensive ingredient for which you might expect to pay a premium. The Olive Grove seem to think that peanuts are a fitting replacement. They are not.
Intriguingly, the front door didn't close, so every time a member of staff or customer walked through, the door had to be wedged shut with a piece of cardboard. Classy. Inside, the decor is quite nice with plenty of space and light. Menus are well thumbed and grubby.
Getting the bill took over 10 minutes. This was a shame, as we wanted to get away quickly. Apparently, the manager insists on some kind of mechanism for tastecard discounts which eliminates potential fraud. This was the first place I had been to where the waiter took my tastecard off me. I didn't mind that, but it shouldn't have taken so long.
Even at half price, I felt ripped off. Stay well away. This place is for tourists who don't know any better.
