The Fox and Hounds is an beautiful 17th century pub, with low beams, open fires and a small bar with cosy corners; the dining room is likewise. The diverse menu is brilliant, but without the self-adulation and pretensions of a gastro-pub; instead just beautifully cooked, wholesome food, prepared from fresh ingredients.
Fish is brought up from Eastbourne and meats are sourced locally where possible. Come and See them and read the history of their resident ghost – The pirate who died so far away from the sea.
Please Note: tastecard bookings will only be accepted after Sunday lunch service from 6pm. The tastecard discount is not available on Bank Holidays or Celebration Days including Valentine’s Day, Mothering Sunday, Father’s Day etc. or during the month of December.
