50% off at Fuel Restaurant at Mercure Daventry Court Hotel

Sat on Sedgemoor Way in the Northamptonshire market town of Daventry is the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel.

A stylish and modern four-star establishment, the eye-catching venue can be found within acres of ripe greenery and boasts a fabulous inner court yard that works alongside a beautiful swimming pool and a welcoming bar and restaurant to create the utmost relaxation and luxury.

Hotel guests and visitors alike are invited to come in and enjoy the calming atmosphere, the outstanding service and the sublime food offering that are all on show at the Fuel Restaurant at the Mercure Daventry Hotel. The menu incorporates dishes that are developed using only the best in locally sourced ingredients and are mouth-watering right from the off, with starters that include a sublime smoked mackerel with a summer potato salad and a lemon marmalade, and a scrumptious duck that is presented in two forms, as a duck breast with duck pate, and comes with balsamic vinegar and toasted brioche.

These work superbly to set the palate up for the sumptuous main course to follow. The market fish, the fishmongers daily catch, which is served with crab-crushed new potatoes and a lemon and parsley dressing, and the fillet of sea bass with smoked haddock fish cake and baby scallops provide sea food lovers with their fill, and where the pea and shallot ravioli and the plum tomato galette make for two delectable alternatives for the meat averse.

Straight from the grill come the particularly carnivorous options of the tender steak and the mint and balsamic rump of lamb, whilst the beer battered cod fillet, chunky chips and mushy pea number is sure to keep the more traditional diners satisfied.

Round the meal off in style with one of the Fuel Restaurant puddings, where the rich dark chocolate tart contrasts with the sweet vanilla baked Alaska, which comes complete with fresh raspberries and a toffee sauce. Providing a savoury conclusion, however, is the old British favourite of the cheese board, which comes with a rich ensemble of different cheeses.
