2 for 1 at Bean Encounter

Here at Bean enCounter, they aim to be amazing or better. They specialize in crafting artisan coffees and food. Using the highest quality ingredients is not good enough! It is their vision, care and attention that sets them apart. Their standards are so high, they virtually craft everything in house including theirr coffee beans, salad dressings and ice cream. This is how they roll!

Their love for coffee is obvious. They only roast high quality specialty coffees from ethical sources and treat the beans with the love and dedication they truly deserve. With their coffees, they aim to enhance the sweetness, brightness and inherent flavours, e.g. chocolate, hazelnut or berries within the beans. The baristas here are trained in the art and science of brewing and seek to deliver a well-balanced coffee that has no harsh negative flavours.

With amazing coffee, well they need amazing food too. As they are Californian, they love fresh, healthy and artisan fusion foods. To achieve their aims, they borrowed a celebrity chef from the States. Master Chef Luce was a former Whitehouse chef and held the Best Destination Restaurant in the World by National Geographic. He spent time in Stafford working closely with the local food providers and crafted a quirky and cheeky gourmet “fast food” menu, which has an intense Wow Factor for nearly every diet requirement.

They also like to support the local community, they have on display exclusive art work by one of Stafford’s finest upcoming photographer, Lucy Ling. They are the only restaurant to sign up to a 100% recycling program and they ensure that there staff are well treated by providing higher wages, progression and national qualifications.

In short, Bean Encounter strive to be amazing or better, because they simply care a great deal about their products, people, communities and environment.

We've visited Bean Encounter three times for food and it has been excellent each time. There's a good choice, with lots of new things to try, and it is very well cooked. The Route 66 burger is particularly good. The only negative was that on our most recent visit (the first time I had used my tastecard here) I booked in advance and we both ordered a starter and a main course, expecting that the cheapest of each would be taken off the bill for the 241 discount. However, when we came to pay and I mentioned my tastecard the waitress was a bit offhand and said that usually you have to book. I said that I had, which I had already told her when we arrived, and she apologised and agreed to honour it. She then only took one main course off the bill and we paid for both starters. I didn't query it as I was a bit put off by her manner when I asked about the tastecard. I'm not sure if this was because starters aren't included in the offer but that isn't stated anywhere. It might be a good idea to check when you order. Nonetheless, we haven't been put off as the food is so good so we will probably be back. "

We visited bean encounter as we'd seen it before and we could use our tastecard too without booking in advance and on a Saturday morning!

We both had sliders which are like small sandwich buns, I had the BLT and my boyfriend had the chicken breast which was really really nice as it had goats cheese and wholegrain mustard- delicious! These were served with potato salad and we got the BBQ beans as a side which were amazing! I'd recommend getting a side as although the sandwiches weren't tiny I would personally want a little more.

The coffee really is very nice too, so I can echo previous experiences. We sat outside as it was a nice day and the small street its on is very quant! Service was excellent, ordered at the bar and the food and drinks were brought out.

Really enjoyed our experience and we will be returning. "

Just been for late lunch here. Had main courses, shared pudding and coffees. All excellent although we will be back to have the bourbon ice cream. What a nice change to not have a load of chips with the mains and it all tasted fresh and healthy. Love the coffee and who needs milk when it tastes that good. Will be back to try the other blends. "
