Eat on the ferry or try an indian that was the question. Well arrived in Dover early. Found this place on TripAdvisor, near the docks and we gave it a whirl, couldn't use taste card as it was a Friday night. Some of the reviews weren't too good, but ..... Ferry food nah. Well we were all pleasantly surprised as quite honestly we expected it to be terrible. We are indiaholics and we know when food is good and certainly know when its bad. Thought we would play it safe and ordered a Tandoori mixed grill and chicken Tikka. Yes I know thats unadventurous and boring, but we played it safe. Staff were amazingly friendly, service was excellent and Tandoori was authentic and above average. Nan breads were beautiful, light and fluffy. On paying the bill a tray arrived with a Baileys liquor and after eight mint. Why would I complain about paying a service charge, as others have. My only criticism was the Pilaw Rice. The taste was good, but the rice was overcooked as they had used cheap broken Basmati. No bounce or fluffiness. Not a good move. Shame. However there was a table of Indian origin folk. Always a good sign as they were loving the food. We are going back when we return. "

We have eaten at the Cinnamon Island on numerous occasions, but this is the first time that I have used my Taste Card.
The staff are always very welcoming, and very professional, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
The food is delicious, very tasty, with freshly prepared ingredients, and the chef will prepare to your preferred strength.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
We have also taken advantage of the take away menu on numerous occasions - 20% discount for collection makes it very good value - always delicious, never disappointed. "
