Shyam, Yak-Y-Da Inn & Restaurant’s chef in residence was born and bred in a remote village in the Himalayas, he worked in restaurants in Kathmandu, Thailand and Hong Kong, before establishing and running Yaks and Yetis Restaurant in Ross-on-Wye for ten years.
He then took the road in the Yakmobile cooking around the Black Mountains where he met Khadka, a fellow Nepali who had finished 17.5 year’s service in the Gurkha Regiment. They made plans and so Yak-Y-Da came to pass, in the newly refurbished Holly Bush Inn.
There is a warm welcome and delicious cuisine, freshly cooked to order in a safe and hygienic environment.
