    Booked a table for two to have some lunch for a 50th birthday. I rang to book the day before and asked if I could bob in to drop some balloons off - that was fine I was told. I visited the restaurant in the morning to drop the balloons off and found the entrance of the restaurant was filthy - lots of cigarette butts, empty beer bottles and glasses. I was then told that the restaurant was full and that we would have to sit in the lounge. I wasnt too happy with this but I didnt really have a great deal of alternative arrangements to look into at such short notice. I told the waitress about the front entrance being messy.
    When we arrived at the restaurant about 4 hours later the glasses were still at the entrance... it is just not a good start!!
    The fish and chips ordered were fine but the thai prawn curry was small and the prawn crackers on the menu did not arrive with the meal and when the waitress came to collect the plates I asked then and was brought them after the meal had ended.
    Overall.. this restaurant /hotel clearly caters for business conferences and that is their priority .. they havent the time or expertise to cater for individual customers.
    I would not go again or indeed recommend to anyone. "
