The Mayfly Cafe has beautiful panoramic countryside views and is a great place for families and children. They serve a hot buffet breakfast every day as well as a carvery lunch and a selection of hot/cold dishes. The food quality is excellent and they have a fab selection of cakes and coffees. The staff are really friendly and it's lovely to sit watching the chickens and ducks roaming around outside. The kids love meeting and feeding the animals and playing in the park so I would highly recommend the Mayfly Cafe and Cob House for a fun day out. What's more, it's free entry! "

Had a lovely meal, a selection of carvery items for my husband and I had the LighterLife option which was a fantastic Bacon and Chicken. The restaurant overlooks the lakes and it is lovely to see all the wildlife around, we took a wonder around and fed the Reindeer, Alpacas, Goats and chickens and tickled the pigs tummies!

You can buy food to feed the animals in the cafe, there are several walks in recepetion that you can take the routes for free, one day I might venture on one!

The view from the cafe was stunning, overlooking the lakes with a fountain and al the ducks on, some geese with goslings took a wonder through too.

Timber trail play area for the kids and plenty of space for them to run around in. Great for families but also great if you just want to sit and watch the wildlife from the warmth of the cafe - oh and the cakes are great too!!! "
