Since opening over twenty years ago, Shalpa has changed the emphasis on Indian food, steering away from some old traditions that are no longer relevant. Instead, they have focused on what makes Indian food great, and the chef and his team have done their best to move forward with the times. The result? A delicious, extensive menu filled with dishes that feature many classic dishes but also a selection of contemporary plates.
A few dishes from the menu include the delicious pan fried salmon, or the vegetable and cheese fitta, seasonal vegetables, cheese, light spices, and fresh coriander. From the mains, try the Chicken Noorani, chicken breast in a ground cinnamon and mango marinade, cooked in a hot and spicy sauce. Mince Kufta contains chicken and lamb minced balls, spiced lightly and served in a hot tomato, onion, chilli and tamarind sauce.
The friendly service of Shapla is also worth noting, with friendly, well-trained staff always at hand to help when necessary. To enjoy the very best in eastern hospitality, visit Shapla.
