2 for 1 at The Tankard Bar & Seafood Restaurant

Owned by the O’Sullivan family, The Tankard Bar and Seafood Restaurant is a homely venue that serves delicious homemade food cooked to perfection.

Enjoy a selection of starters including the Dinish Island smoked salmon salad, served with micro capers, minced onion and mixed leaves. Another option is the golden pin crumb brie, deep fried brie served with an orange zest and redcurrant jam. The selection of fish (which is what The Tankard is known for) includes a range of mouth-watering options, each more impressive than the last. Try the avocado and crabmeat bake, or the extra-large sauté prawns.

With a gleaming reputation for good food, great service and reasonable prices, this is the ideal place for those wanting a chilled out meal with friends and family. To add to it all, The Tankard Bar and Seafood Restaurant offers beautiful sea and mountain views from within the restaurant.

Rang ahead to reserve table for 2 on a Monday evening mentioning that I was a Tastecard member when booking. Arrived and were the only ones in the restaurant. I had the rack of lamb and herself had the chicken. Was advised that well done rack of lamb would be 40 minutes. Food was lovely although I thought portions were a bit small. Went to bar to pay and bill initially issued was 62 euro. I showed barman my digital card and he asked which one is that? I informed him that it was 241 on all courses and he went off to confirm this with someone. He then reissued a new bill for 35 euro ( we had coffee and deserts also). "

The deal on the tastecard is two for one we ordered our meal and the starters were delicious hot and very tasty. The main meal was ordered medium and it came up medium well done that is not good for a rack of Lamb and an expensive steak dish cooked as ordered to the diners preference. We ate it as we were waiting quite a long time for it to be served like most people in the restaurant. When we came to leave I offered my tastecard the waitress didn't seem to know what to do with it and took my phone for a wander around the restaurant trying to find someone who knew what to do with the tastecard.
Eventually she came back and said that's 20% off to which I replied on the tastecard it says 241. If she went with the phone again to find the chef I presume of the owner. When she came back she said that the owner had agreed it was two for one.
Lastly an of the lady came to take the women when she arrived at the table she told us we were lucky that she was taking the taste card and that the owner was cancelling it today. She took us out to the payment machine and continue to talk about how much money it has cost them. This really is nothing to do with me I bought a tastecard in good faith and they into the into the transaction with tastecard this are not things should be discussed with the customer. Please get it right. "
