Dating back to 1836 when it was a former water mill, The Vine Inn forms an important part of the area’s history and is an integral part of the community today. The pub is a social hub for local villagers and offers a warm and friendly welcome to visitors old and new.
Dining is of a high quality at The Vine Inn, offering a menu that takes classic pubs dishes to a whole new level, elevating each dish with the use of fine ingredients and recipe creations. The pub specialises in fresh game and fresh fish, both of which change constantly on the menu according to availability and seasonality. The venison steaks and game pies are legendary at The Vine Inn and come most recommended. Tuck into a homemade game pie filled with venison, wild boar and pheasant served in a rich port, red wine and rosemary gravy and accompany with a glass of fine red wine. Other highlights include the home baked ham and duck eggs with hand cut chips and the mead marinated pork medallions served with caramelised apple and cider cream sauce, buttered kale and mustard mash.
