Taste of Tandoori’s experienced chefs cook up fantastic array of tasty curries and tandoori dishes in exceptionally friendly surroundings. The restaurant sits right in the centre of the historical town of Leixlip in County Kildare, and is decorated in red hues which reflect both the warmth of the spices that they use to flavour their food, and the staff who serve it.
For an authentic taste of Northern India, try their Saag Gosht: a traditional dish of spinach and lamb, flavoured with garlic and Indian spices, popular in the Punjab region of India, Pakistan and Nepal. Or you could choose to get your taste buds tingling with one of Taste of Tandoori’s Pathais: a hot sweet and sour curry cooked with fresh herbs, tomato puree, coriander, onion and plenty of spices, with your choice of chicken, lamb, prawns or vegetables. Ever popular is their Dhansak, containing lentils, lemon, fiery spices and your choice of meat or seafood.
From the tandoori oven, diners can feast on a plentiful mixed grill, made up of Seekh Kebab, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka and lamb tikka, marinated in Indian spices, yogurt and lemon and served in a rich vegetable sauce.
Taste of Tandoori’s relaxing ambience, as well as its location right on Leixlip’s Main Street makes it the perfect setting for a special meal with loved ones. But the fantastic value of their food means the restaurant is still a good option if you have a mid-week craving for spice. The restaurant is fully-licensed, so you can enjoy a glass of wine from their bar while you sample your choice of either a traditional Indian meal or British favourite.
