The Oaksmere is a luxury boutique hotel with a relaxed restaurant offered within. After extensive restoration, the Oaksmere now offers diners one of two gloriously designed Victorian dining rooms which overlook their grounds through floor to ceiling windows.
The food served is of the highest quality – with the team being passionate about using the best quality local ingredients. Their executive Chef, Alan Dann, produces a range of high quality and fine cuisine – with Blythborough Pork and Gressingham Duck both featuring on the menu.
The Oaksmere also offers Aspall cider and Adnams ales, and have a regular selection of guest ales from the Norfolk and Suffolk area for diners to enjoy with their meals. For those not wanting to try the cider or the ales, they also offer an extremely extensive wine list – naming over 90 vintages for diners to choose from. Couple this with their cocktail menu, and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a tipple to enjoy with dinner.
If you prefer to have drinks before dinner, or want to stay around after your dinner, they have a stylish conservatory bar which is perfect to begin or end a wonderful dining experience.
During the summer months, the Oaksmere have a sun-trap terrace designed by the Chelsea Gold Medal winning designer Thomas Hoblyn, which is perfect for dining Al Fresco or even enjoying one of their barbeques. They even have a magnificent pirate themed play area – the Jolly Conqueror – for the little ones to enjoy whilst dining.
