One of the top Scottish restaurants found in the city centre of Glasgow, Café Source is a big favourite amongst the city’s diners. Located in the basement of the beautifully restored St Andrew’s in the Square church in the merchant City area of Glasgow, Café Source showcases the very best in modern Scottish cuisine, using only the very finest suppliers from around the country. Opened over 13 years ago, this fantastic restaurant has been serving Glasgow’s discerning diners well and its longevity is pure testament to its quality. Such is its success; a second restaurant Café Source Too was opened just over four years ago in the Hillhead area of Glasgow.
The chefs at Café Source take great pride in their land, sourcing out the very finest ingredients from around Scotland to feature in a creative menu which dishes up Scottish classics with a modern twist alongside brasserie favourites. The classic Scottish starter of Cullen Skink is a house favourite – a wonderfully thick and creamy smoked haddock and potato soup whilst Ramsays pulled pork and black pudding slider is another big hit for starters. Main courses offer plenty of choice including pan fried Gressingham duck breast with roasted garlic mash, sticky red cabbage and red wine bramble jus or Ramsays of Carluke haggis with rumbledethumps, onions rings and gravy.
A large and spacious dining room, Café Source boasts a modern décor. Huge blackboards adorn the walls, detailing the daily specials and current wine list whilst the large bar to one end is well-stocked with beers, wines and spirits.
