The interestingly named One Trick Pony Club is a brilliant bar and kitchen located along Alcester Road in the cool Moseley Village area of Moseley near Birmingham. Taking up residence in what was formerly O’Neill’s, One Trick Pony Club is the latest offering by the same company, who wished to bring a breath of fresh air to the bar scene in the area, and serve something a little different to eat too.
One Trick Pony Club’s American themed menu has proved to be a big hit amongst the drinkers and diners of Moseley Village, dishing up a finger licking array of tasty American dishes. Burgers are big here and there are plenty of mouth-watering varieties to choose from. The Fully Loaded burger is well worth sampling, filled with pulled pork, hot & kickin chicken, Emmenthal cheese, beef patty and smoked chipotle jelly and the Farmyard Burger is another winner, with a beef patty, pork confit, rarebit and a fried egg. Tuck into tasty hot dogs such as the spicy Mexican, all served with fries or a fabulous Southern fried chicken with Louisiana sauce. Vegetarians haven’t been forgotten either with vegetable burgers and the amazing baked macaroni cheese.
Hop onto the stalls around the high tables scattered throughout the bar or enjoy dinner at one of the booths lined up against the wall at the One Trick Pony Club. Outside there are a few café style tables and chairs in which to enjoy a spot of al fresco drinking and dining during the warmer months.
The One Trick Pony Club definitely isn’t a one trick pony, but an exciting destination in town for a tasty bite to eat and a few good drinks.
