With a focus on the culinary delights from the northeast Bengal region of India, and drawing inspiration from every corner of the subcontinent, Bengal Lounge’s experienced and passionate chefs serve an impressive range of curries, tandoori meats, biryanis and vegetarian specialities.
Recommended dishes include the Chef’s special Khusboo Lamb: minced lamb, onion, lentils, coriander and a delectably aromatic Kashmiri sauce, and the interesting Chotpoti Chicken, enriched with mixed peppers, spring onion, carrot, masala sauce and topped with melted cheese. For something a little more exotic, try the Shezan curry, made with mango pulp, creamy sauce, almonds, coconut, yogurt and a blend of traditional herbs and spices.
Seafood lovers will delight in the South Indian King Prawn Chettnard, cooked with coconut, green chillis, curry leaves and mustard seeds, whereas vegetarians, or those looking for an especially authentic taste of India should opt for Bombay Lounge’s dall, Aloo Gobi, or Bombay Potatoes.
