A fantastic new coffee house and bar concept in Liverpool’s Hatton Garden, Ameriesko brings Liverpudlian and American culture together with its cool décor and great menu. One of two Ameriesko coffee bars in the city, the other one being over on Bold Street, this Hatton Garden outlet attracts plenty of customers with its laid back attitude and its mouth-watering menu of American classics with a couple of scouse recipes thrown in for good measure.
There are no set fillings for the sandwiches and Paninis, instead diners can select from a variety of choices and create their own. Peanut butter and jam naturally feature, a typical American sandwich if combined together, whilst other options include sausage, bacon, cheese and ham to name but a few. The traditional Liverpool dish of Scouse (a kind of stew) is served in cups and certainly keeps the locals happy while American dishes include a plate of nachos piled high with the usual toppings and a variety of hot dogs. Sides such as chilli and cheese fries, piri piri fries and onion rings always go down well. The coffee needs a mention too as it’s really is superb. Keeping it local, Liverpool’s Joe Blacks has created two different American inspired blends known as the Brooklyn Black and the Yankee Blend.
Ameriesko owner Steven Hesketh has taken great care in the design of his venue which he describes as American interiors with a distinct Liverpool personality. A “Wall of Fame” displays signed prints from various US film and TV stars while cool American prints feature on floor rugs and around the place.
