Headed up by chef and proprietor Marcos Silva, The Engine House Café kitchen works hard to ensure every dish produced is of a very high standard and demonstrates the skill and creativity expected by Silva. Pastry Chef Neelam takes care of the delectable array of cakes and pastries and is a highly skilled chef in the field. The menu dishes up a great selection of light bites including the fabulous Brazilian cheese board served with chilli jam and the slow cooked chicken open sandwich with red onions, bacon and wild berry jus on speciality bread. Main meals continue to impress such as the juicy chicken breasts wrapped in back bacon with wild berry jus and herb potatoes or the Engine House beast burger with cheese, ham, egg, bacon and chicken as well as a 200g beef patty.
Exposed brick walls and large sash windows give the dining room bags of character whilst chic leather banquettes, dark wood furnishings and ceiling lamps add a cool and contemporary touch. Open from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the excellent Engine House Café is definitely a restaurant to watch out for in Leeds.
