Kera Spice is an Indian restaurant that draws on different inspirations to the conventional curry house. Evoking the tastes of Kerala, known as the land of coconuts, the chefs of Kera Spice cook their dishes mainly with coconut oil, add souring agents such as unripe mango, lime juice and cambodge, and then temper the food to enhance the already rich flavours.
It’s not just special preparation that sets Keraspice apart, it also has an incredibly diverse menu that hosts multiple selections of light bites, platters, curries and lamb, chicken and seafood dishes.
Particularly tasty choices that are sure to catch the eye are the Chemmeen Uluva, a garlic, ginger and fenugreek leaf based sauce that coats succulent king prawns, the Kera Chicken Kondattam, a special Kera spice enriched dish filled with sautéed chicken and kondattam chillis, and the hearty Tandoori Mix Grill, a plethora of meat including chicken and lamb tikka, tandoori chicken and sheesh kebab.
Kera Spice also offer their own specialities such as their delectable Dosas, the South Indian rice batter pancakes that are available stuffed with chicken masala, prawns or for the brave there is the Chef’s Secret Masala Dosa. Vegetarians can indulge in all that Kera Spice has to offer as well as the meat-free options available rival the meat-filled selection in both quantity and taste.
A humble, soothing décor hides the passionate use of exciting spices at Kera Spice and the staff are on hand and eager to match the level of service with the level of quality that goes into each meal.
