Well-loved amongst Chelsea’s fashionable and rather wealthy residents, Goat Chelsea is a diverse venue offering a ground floor restaurant, first floor cocktail bar and the Chelsea Prayer Room, home to the famous Old Fashioned Cocktail Club. Of course, it’s the food at Goat that has tongues wagging and the restaurant on the ground floor serves a superb menu of delicious Italian cuisine. The kitchen has carefully devised a menu which incorporates classic Italian flavours and ingredients yet offers a touch of creativity at the same time.
Pizza and pasta are always a popular choice with the restaurant’s wood fired oven dishing up some superb traditional Italian pizzas like the Gorgonzola, Italian sausage, and mushroom and truffle oil. The lobster linguine with chilli and Marzano tomatoes is a mouth-watering pasta dish and one of the house favourites. There's also the sublime 28-day aged steak tagilata with pecorino and wild rocket, as well as miso and fennel infused sea bass served with baby spinach and pomodori secchi. Diners will also be licking their lips at the prospect of indulging in one of the exquisite Goat desserts, where a sticky toffee pudding and vanilla gelato is perfectly contrasted by the good old fashioned Italian delight in the tiramisu.
Lots of exposed brickwork and a wall full of logs stacked high set the scene in the dining room at Goat Chelsea. A fashionable Chelsea crowd frequent the restaurant however it is warm and friendly and approachable for everyone. Prices are pretty reasonable for this area of London too, a refreshing surprise.
