Found within the Old Golf House Hotel in Huddersfield, The Grangemoor Restaurant is a stunning destination for dining, offering an elegant fine dining room and an excellent menu of European flavours. Part of the Corus Hotel Group, the Old Golf House Hotel is a well-loved establishment, originally forming part of the prestigious Outland Golf Club. Built in pretty Yorkshire stone, the hotel is surrounded by three acres of stunning manicured gardens which include a 5 hole pitch and putt green. The Grangemoor Restaurant is housed within the main building and offers stunning views across the Huddersfield countryside.
The food at the Grangemoor Restaurant is befitting of its fine dining setting, with a menu offering exceptionally high standards. Smooth chicken liver pate with red onion chutney and toasted croutons or fantail of honeydew melon with wild berry compote start things off well whilst main courses such as salmon fillet with crushed new potatoes, asparagus and a cream, dill and mushroom sauce or pan fried lamb rump steak with sautéed potatoes and a fresh mint and wine gravy impress even more. The tantalising warm chocolate fudge cake with cream or the zesty lemon cheesecake with vanilla ice cream round off proceedings perfectly.
Crisp white linens cover each of the beautifully presented tables and sleek tall grey velour chairs add even more elegance. The tall windows of the dining room give way to the most spectacular views over the countryside, making the Grangemoor Restaurant a fabulous choice for a very special meal out.
