The Stokes Croft area of Bristol is home to The Arts House, a fantastic café and artistic hub where local artists and musicians showcase their talents. Comprising of a ground floor café and gallery space and a basement event space for local musicians to perform and an Arts House cinema to show a range of films, The Arts House is a versatile venue. Just a short walk from Montpelier train station, it is in the centre of Bristol’s more creative quarter and is considered as a home from home by many of the nearby residents.
The café at The Arts House is a buzzing little space serving a delightful menu of locally sourced cuisine along with a range of drinks including alcohol thanks to the venue being fully licensed. There is a great variety of tasty paninis and sandwiches to choose from including the musically themed “Massive Attack” panini with smoked ham, grilled aubergine, mature cheddar, olives, tomatoes and tobacco whilst house specials include the delicious house salad with Serrano ham, olives, roast peppers, mint, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion and carrot and the house special platter with hummus, roast peppers, grilled halloumi, chorizo, olives, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and wheat bread. A fabulous selection of cakes including gluten free and vegan options are also available.
The café at The Arts House is a real homely space complete with huge standard lamps and cosy cushioned seats. Take a spot by the window and enjoy the warmth of the sun through the glass whilst tucking into a delicious lunch. Free WI-FI is an added bonus too.
