A fabulous new dining venue has popped up in the south of Bristol with the opening of The Ashville. A smart and stylish gastropub, The Ashville has got everyone talking with its traditionally British menu and its cool and contemporary interiors. Located in the Southville area of Bristol, The Ashville boasts an enviable location close to the charming historic harbour and waterfront. A bed and breakfast as well as a pub and kitchen, The Ashville has certainly impressed the locals of Bristol and has quickly moved to the top of many diners lists thanks to the excellent quality of the food and service.
Simple, honest high quality British food is what The Ashville does best, using ingredients that have been sourced from the local area wherever possible. The traditional fish and chips with triple cooked chips, crushed peas, tartare sauce and lemon aioli is a house favourite whilst the homemade chicken and leek pie with seasonal greens and turnips is well worth ordering as is the honey glazed ham with triple cooked chips, salad and two fried eggs. For lighter bites the Paninis and sandwiches are a great choice and include tantalising fillings like skirt steak with onions or pastrami with Emmenthal cheese and gherkin whilst the kids are treated to their very own special menu.
Farmhouse style tables and chairs in light wood and white tones fill the dining room with its stone feature walls and huge blackboards detailing the daily specials. The style is fresh and modern yet with a rustic twist and is the perfect setting for such a brilliant British menu.
