The menu features plenty of old classics to keep the more traditional curry fan happy, from the mild and creamy chicken korma and tikka masala to the hot and spicy vindaloo and madras sauces. There are also some superb specials to sample too including the amazing tropical Balti with chicken, lamb, prawns, tomatoes, onions and green peppers or the barbecued salmon tikka in a bhuna sauce. For those who prefer their Indian food on the mild side, the mango korma is an absolute delight, with chicken or lamb cooked in a creamy almond, coconut and mango sauce, whilst meat lovers shouldn’t miss the sweet and tangy tamarind lamb.
Spicewoods is a large and spacious dining room decked out in neutral shades yet with splashes of deep red to add some colour to the place. The small bar serves up a great selection of Indian beers; wine from around the world, spirits and soft drinks for those who prefer.
