Winner of the OpenTable Diners’ Choice 2016 awards, Friends Restaurants boasts a long list of satisfied patrons who return time and time again for more delectable dishes.
Spearheaded by the Savoy trained Chef Patron, Terry Farr, the kitchen at Friends is a bustling affair of high class cuisine and fresh, locally sourced ingredients, sometimes even supplied by the very customers they serve. Blending the best of Modern British and French dishes, the staff aim to impress with their beautifully presented and utterly delicious dishes.
Start the experience with one of the exemplary appetisers, including such divine tantalisers as the succulent seared scallops, complete with caper and raisin vinaigrette with squid ink, the enticing whole roast quail, served with compressed apple, blackberry and fresh ricotta, and the veggie friendly Soup du Jour.
The main courses are no less extravagant, with each choice worthy of being the star of any other restaurant’s menu. Diners are advised to return to try more than one of these fantastic dishes, with delicious choices like the scrumptious Goosnargh duck breast and config leg, paired with salted apricots, red cabbage purée and almond potato, the rich crispy fillet of sea bass, presented with ratatouille and tapenade, and the refreshing spring vegetables plates, a diverse ensemble of grilled asparagus, caramelised cauliflower and a roast garlic purée.
Typically guests choose to take a brief respite after the main course, settle for a while, take their time, peruse the menu again, maybe relax with a drink, and then prepare for a heavenly dessert. It would be nothing short of a tragedy to leave Friends without sampling one of their exquisite sweet options, with fitting conclusions to a wonderful meal such as the decadent chocolate assiette, topped with caramelia mousse, white chocolate crumble and a salted caramel ice cream, the enchanting pistachio cake, rhubarb sorbet and sherbet, with crystallised pistachios, and the splendid passion fruit crème brûlée.
Fitted with an exclusive upstairs dining area for that long anticipated work party or a gourmet gathering and a serene ambience in the restaurant as a whole, Friends Restaurants is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner with that special somewhere or celebrating something with the family. Prepared to make every visit memorable, Friends Restaurant caters to all with grace, civility and, above all, gourmet cuisine.
