Serving food so beautifully presented it almost seems a crime to devour it, Bridge Street Lounge and Grill has a menu utterly full of delectable dishes. Begin the experience with one of the exquisite starters, such as the rich seared wood pigeon, complete with puy lentils, feta cheese and smoked bacon, the herbivorous delight the Stilton and pear dumplings, served with smoked chilli, watercress and walnuts and the tantalising seared scallops and Lambton and Jackon Kiln smoked salmon.
Keeping in tone with such extravagant tastes are the mains, all of which merit serious consideration. Some of the exemplary dishes available are the enchanting duck breast, presented with salt baked leg stuffing, sprouting broccoli and a satay jus, the tender rump of lamb, paired with truffle cauliflower puree, parma ham and wood vein sorrel, and the divine herb crusted monkfish, complemented by fill pickled heritage carrots, crab croquettes and a squid ink sauce.
Also available for those who wish to indulge on meat are various steaks fresh from the grill, including monstrous 10oz fillet and rump steaks, accompanied by a field mushroom, grilled tomato and a complimentary sauce. Vegetarian courses are no less delicious, with the choice between the scrumptious mushroom tart fine, with lambs lettuce, gorgonzola and pine nuts and the heavenly smoked beetroot gnocchi, enriched with blushed tomatoes, buttered asparagus and Beurre noisette.
