Still running strong after more than 25 years, Heritage India is all about authentic and delicious Indian cuisine.
Decorated with lush, modern furnishings that is separated over two floors, there’s room for everyone at Heritage India. Along with the sleek, contemporary décor there are hints of Heritage India’s roots, with beautiful Indian artwork and unique sculptures adorning the walls.
The menu is a cacophony of Indian classics, with beloved starters like small tikka plates, bhajis and samosas, yet there are plenty of new dishes to experience. Try the tantalising Vegetable or Chicken Mo:Mos, consisting of vegetable or meat filled dough that have been enriched with spices and herbs, then steamed and served with a special sesame seed chutney.
For the truly ravenous, or the parties that seek a little bit of everything, there are several superb platters that feature the best of their appetisers, such as the monstrously sized Large Heritage Meat Platter, an ensemble of kebabs, lamb chops and tengri chicken.
Naturally the greatest items on the menu are the many exquisite curries, with an equal split of carnivorous and herbivorous dishes. Some noteworthy veggie friendly choices include the enticing Amritsari Saag, a popular panjabi dishes made with spinach, mustard leaves and a careful blend of spices, and the fiery Sabzi Kolhapuri, named after Kolphuri city where this spiced gravy based dice is immensely popular. On the other side of the menu some of the best meat orientated dishes are the tender Lamb Handi, a slow cooked, aromatic spiced joint of lamb still with the bone, and the sublime Goan Sea Bass Curry, which utilises various pieces of fish and is tossed with green chillies, ginger paste and coconut milk.
Proving that blending cultures can bring about excellent results, there are several Indo Chinese sections on the menu, with delights like chicken hakka noodles and vegetable fried rice to cater to those who don’t like it hot. This kind of diversity truly allows one and all to visit Heritage India and find something that they’ll love.
