Hotel owners Bob and Cath Hedley have lovingly upgraded the Bradford Arms Hotel, including its restaurant and bar areas, which now serve a delightful menu of home style favourites. Built in the late 17th century as a coaching inn, The Bradford Arms Hotel is situated beside the Ofas Dyke path, a 1200 year old path that crosses through an area of tranquil beauty.
Serving as an ideal hub for guests exploring the area, The Bradford Arms Hotel features plenty of eating areas, including the bar and lounge, for guests of the hotel and passing diners alike to sit back, relax and enjoy some quality food while chilling out in any of the hotel’s areas. One spot in particular worth scoping out is the Space Invaders game table in the lounge.
Start with one of the classic, tried and tasted appetisers such as the enticing prawn cocktail, presented on a bed of crispy salad and drizzled with a prawn Marie rose sauce, the tantalising pan fried garlic mushrooms, coated with mozzarella and partnered with a garlic cream sauce, and the scrumptious grilled goat’s cheese.
To follow there are similarly beloved dishes acting as utterly satisfying mains. Relax with one of the familiar favourites, including the hearty beef stroganoff, tender chunks of beef steak mixed with mushrooms and a creamy garlic and brandy sauce, the veggie friendly red onion and feta puff pastry, and the delicious breaded plaice or scampi.
For the gourmet on the go, or the party member who wants to grip their meal with both hands, there are several charming 8oz burgers as well, all made with local beef and onions and served with chips and coleslaw. These range from the spicy Mexican burger, heaped with chilli beef and grilled mozzarella, and the novel breakfast burger, topped with bacon, mushrooms and egg, to the monstrous Bradford Blaster, a stack of onion rings, bacon, mushrooms and grilled cheddar cheese.
Those still seeking more can indulge their sweet tooth in a divine dessert, like the refreshing fruit brulee, the decedent sticky toffee pudding or the heavenly chocolate pudding.
