Have eaten at the Khukuri a number of times. Food is always good and have recently even improved. Their £15 all you can eat a la carte option is great value, try the dumplings, king prawn and finish with a Piro lamb curry - proper hot, but not overly so and very tasty.

Drink choices limited and service takes it time.. could improve there. worth going for the food but not for an atmospheric dinner date. "

  • "No problem with tastecard. We are in our 50s so over the years have been to dozens of Asian restaurants. Without doubt this has to be our favourite. We went to Reading for the weekend and ate here on both nights. The food was outstanding, freshly cooked, and different to anything else we have had. Bit of a wait for the food, but when it came it was amazing. All courses, from the mains, to rice dishes and naan bread. We highly recommend the 'dry and fry dishes (Bhutuwa - Chicken or Lamb). Vegetable rice had whole mushrooms, cauli and aubergines in it. Staff lovely too, very courteous and attentive. 5 min walk out of the centre (up past The Vue cinema and riverside development). Please visit this restaurant and you won’t be disappointed. We are planning another weekend in Reading with this as the highlight! Susan   "
