2 for 1 at Conservatory Bar at The Grange Hotel Mercure Bristol

Found nestled amongst 18 acres of scenically landscaped gardens and next to a towering acorn tree is The Grange Hotel, otherwise known as the Mercure Bristol North.

Formerly a stone manor house, The Grange Hotel dates back to the 19th century and is rich with history as well as beauty. Within its walls rests the Conservatory Bar, a relaxed lounge adorned with splashes of soothing green against calming cream, which features a splendid menu specially made for informal dining.

Ideal over a few drinks, thus befitting the setting, are the sharing platters, which come with a generous spread of delicious flavours. Smaller choices include a mixture of marinated olives as well as a pile of cheese covered nachos, while the larger platters involve scrumptious selections from antipasti style nibbles like prosciutto ham, Milano salami and grana Padano cheese.

For those of ravenous hunger there are some substantial meals available, with refreshingly light options like the Superfood Salad, tossed with pumpkin and sunflower seeds and drizzled with a lemon dressing, and deliciously hearty meals like the seared sea bream fillet, complete with vegetable ribbons and coriander salsa.

Carnivorous diners will also appreciate the many grilled delights, including several succulent steaks, all dry aged for at a minimum of 28 days, and stacked burgers, with available toppings like blue cheese, crispy bacon and barbecue relish.

Located a short drive away from the Bristol Parkway train station and the M4 and M5, access to The Grange Hotel is easy, and being close to Bristol means it’s a perfect choice for a quick getaway from the hectic city life.
