Opening its doors to both hotel guests and visiting diners, the Restaurant at ibis Barnsley provides plenty of tantalising British classics for those passing through.
Heavily inspired by the industrial heritage of Barnsley, the ibis Barnsley has been designed and decorated to proudly display the metalwork and glassblowing that put Barnsley on the map. Walls made entirely of glass jars, exposed piping, coarse metalwork and ornate sculpting can be found all over the hotel, and this includes the restaurant.
Flushed with artwork and table top games, part of the restaurant is sectioned off with a fun vibe, whereas the rest of the dining area features vibrant yellow chairs clashing against solid black furniture. Sticking to the glassblowing theme of the hotel, one side of the restaurant is entirely floor-to-ceiling windows, which allows natural light to flood into the eatery.
The menu for this establishment contains plenty of classic British dishes, home-style favourites and internationally inspired meals, ensuring each member of the party will find something satisfying - and since diners don’t need to call in advance, tastecard members can casually stroll into the ibis Barnsley anytime they want for some fantastic food at a great price.
Situated just off the M1 on the outskirts of Barnsley, access to the ibis Barnsley is simple via car, and the hotel makes for a great pit stop morning, noon and night.
