The rather aptly named restaurant and bar The Lazy Otter boasts a beautiful location right next to the River Ouse half way between Ely and Cambridge. Surrounded by the beautifully green countryside of Cambridgeshire, it is no wonder that The Lazy Otter is such a popular dining destination, where guests can watch the river boats and canal barges slowly chugging past while tucking into a tasty meal and a cold pint of beer.
The bar at The Lazy Otter is the more informal choice when it comes to dining and offers a great alternative to the slightly more formal air of the restaurant. The bar menu dishes up a superb array of fresh, home cooked dishes, where ingredients sourced from the local area never fail to impress. Tuck into a wonderfully tasty seafood linguine, made with fresh cod, haddock, salmon and lobster and doused in a smoked sauce, or a vegetarian delight in the baked brie tart with a chive and thyme infused pastry case. The burgers and steaks are superb whilst a range of sandwiches are also available with a variety of fillings.
The bar is a cosy spot in which to enjoy a meal, with roaring fires in the winter time, and a huge garden for the warm summertime days, which is complete with a great children’s play area and stunning views over the adjacent river.
Soak up the beauty of The Fens with a meal at the lovely Lazy Otter, a superb little place to stop by for a bite to eat, whether visiting the countryside or nearby cities of Ely and Cambridge.
