Located in the scenic village of Coombe Hill, found north of Cheltenham and Gloucester, is the quaint and cosy Swan Inn.
Having been named the ‘Pub of the Season’ by Twekesbury CAM.R.A, The Swan Inn has been recognised as an excellent eatery.
The Swan Inn enjoys fantastic views of the surrounding area, spanning over five acres that include vineyards for making local wine. This self-sustainability and connection to nature is only enhanced in the kitchen, where the talented chefs use only the finest in local and seasonal produce, resulting in a menu bursting with fresh flavours. Due to this The Swan Inn displays some utterly irresistible British fare.
Given that seasonal ingredients are of vital importance to the chefs, the menu does change regularly. Sumptuous food is served all year round though, with some sublime starters gracing guest’s plates, such as the rich deep fried breaded Brie, complete with an orange and cranberry compote, and the delectable namesake The Swan’s House Pate, made with apricot, pork and sage and partnered with a red onion marmalade.
Equally as delicious are the main courses, which have included the likes of the scrumptious wild mushroom penne pasta, sautéed wild mushrooms covered in a creamy Parmesan and garlic sauce, the juicy slow roasted Sticky Cotswold Pork Belly, coated in a honey, paprika and tomato sauce, and the wondrous chicken supreme, stuffed with a Brie and chorizo mousse and served with a tomato and thyme sauce.
With a menu specially crafted for kids, as well as a willingness to adapt main menu items to smaller sizes, the whole family will be able to enjoy a fantastic meal at The Swan Inn, and when diners call in advance with their tastecard they can enjoy it at an unbeatable price.
Please Note: The tastecard discount is not available on Bank Holidays or on Celebration Days including, but not limited to, Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday, Father's Day, etc.
