50% off at The Conservatory Lounge at Best Western Summerhill Hotel

Situated on Summerhill Court in the historic Scottish city of Aberdeen, the Best Western Summerhill Hotel is a relaxed and contemporary establishment that offers that real home from home experience for anyone visiting the area.

Be it for a week-long stay, a night-time stopover, or a lunch break, the hotel provides a peaceful environment from which to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, something that is certainly enhanced in their fantastic restaurant and lounge.

Delivering just as sumptuous fare in a more casual atmosphere than the on-site restaurant, The Conservatory Lounge at the hotel is a superb locale from which to enjoy a get together with friends and family.

With the picturesque Hazlehead Park, His Majesty’s Theatre and the Hazlehead Golf Course all in close proximity, not to mention the many beautiful stone buildings to be found in the ‘granite city’, there is much to do in the region, and visitors couldn’t be blamed for wanting to get themselves out and about as quickly as possible. Catering for this wonderfully, the amiable little eatery has an array of sandwiches of various fillings available, as well as a number of other light bites, which are perfect for the diner on the go. Though for those looking for a little more indulgence there is also a range of burger and salad options that work alongside a host of hearty British dishes.

The hotel is sat just three miles away from the Aberdeen city centre and just a stone’s throw away from the A90. This means that not only is it easily accessible from the surrounding areas, but the Conservatory Lounge at the Best Western Summerhill Hotel can also act as the ideal setting from which to gain a bit of respite amidst a day of exploration, or to line the stomach before a night out.

" Worst meal I have had in a long time.

The starter, prawn cocktail went back. Tiny tired dried up prawns loaded with pepper. They changed it for carrot soup which was okay.

The lady at the next table complained about her prawn cocktail too.

The main course was pasta with mushrooms in half a jar of Dolmio (I think) sauce. The pasta and mushroom were swimming and the taste was awful. One mouthful taken and the rest left. My daughter had the meatball version with the other half of the jar. The meatballs were hot on the outside and cold on the inside, with no taste.

I don't think anything provided was remotely fresh and I don't believe there was any kind of chef in the kitchen.

Even at half price with the tastecard I felt cheated (and hungry!)

It was telling that we were not asked how our food was. The full plates left must have told the story.

I cringed when I heard the guy at the table behind us ordering the pasta. "
