Originally formed in the 60’s, Sayonara has been serving scrumptious Indian cuisine to the people Leicester for over 50 years.
Serving what could be considered a somewhat unusual selection of curries, Sayonara is an exclusively vegetarian restaurant, providing a haven for the meat averse who like things spicy.
Members calling in advance can enjoy everything on the menu at an excellent price, and there’s more than just curries to be found cooking in Sayonara’s kitchen. A selection of Indo-Chinese dishes also make up the menu, found side by side with a wealth of curries, side dishes and desserts.
Diners can expect all manners of classic curries, ranging from Balti to biryani and tikka to tandoori, with each dish being particularly healthy thanks to the strict vegetarian only stance held by the chefs. Some tantalising specials have been known to appear from time to time as well, so guests would be wise to ask the friendly staff what they’d recommend upon visiting.
Found a stone’s throw away from the delightful Abbey Park, those visiting Leicester can also find the National Space Centre, the Curve Theatre and the Haymarket Shopping Centre nearby, making Sayonara a great spot to visit after a day of exploration.
