Sitting on the site of an old pub, The Onley was rebuilt as The Onley Arms in the early 19th century.
Having undergone some drastic changes since then, The Onley now acts as a wonderful restaurant, with a contemporary interior that has a subtle style.
Diners calling in advance with a tastecard can enjoy all the British classics and internationally inspired delights at a fantastic price, all of which can be savoured inside or on the delightful patio when the weather permits.
Begin the experience with one of sumptuous starters, such as the rich miniature oven baked Camembert, paired with flat bread and a red onion marmalade, the delectable melon and serrano ham, accompanied with a rocket salad and olives, and the beloved prawn cocktail, drizzled with a Marie Rose sauce.
The main courses offer just as diverse a selection, with delicious delicacies like the scrumptious moules marinere, cooked in a French white wine and garlic sauce, the excellent Pesto and Ratatouille Square Penne, made with aubergine, courgette and Parmesan shavings, and the succulent fillet steak, partnered with a choice of sauces.
The talented chefs believe in sourcing everything locally wherever possible, ensuring diners that their meal will be as fresh as possible. This also extends to the list of divine desserts, all of which offer a wonderfully sweet note to end an utterly satisfying meal on.
Please note: There is a set menu served on Sundays, so the tastecard discount will be unavailable.
